Welcome to the Long Beach, Indiana website !

Long Beach is set along the shores of Lake Michigan in a unique setting and possesses a variety of home architectures.  Long Beach was originally established in the 1920's when it was predominately a summer get-away.  Today there are both summer and year round residents.  The town still has the original character of its bygone years and coupled with being in close proximity to the Chicago metro area, it makes for a great place to reside.

            Curfew: Age 16 & 17  Sunday thru Thursday 11:00 PM ; Friday & Saturday 1:00 AM

                         Age 15 and under 11:00 PM everyday

            Buoys - represent no wake zone, speed limit 10 MPH

House & Bldg Address Identification: Ordinance 154.114 ...All principle buildings including all houses and business structures shall display addresses in the immediate vicinity of the front door, immediately in front of the principle structure.  The letters and numbers shall not be less than four inches in height.

 

Automobile License: If you are a permanent resident, check your license.  It should say Long Beach (not Michigan City).  This is important for Long Beach to receive its proper tax revenue.
